DevOps Engineer / Linux Admin (m/f/d) - Munich 70% Home Office

To support the Munich team, we are looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer / Linux Admin (m/f/d).

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Implementing and automating cloud systems (including Azure) using Ansible and Terraform, as well as developing tools for operating and monitoring our cloud applications (based on Python, Ruby, Go, Bash, etc.)
  • Administering and managing Continuous Integration based on Jenkins, GIT, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining Jenkins Pipelines, GIT CI Pipelines for CI/CD
  • Supporting the Operations Team in operating Kubernetes/Rancher platforms, developing and implementing deployment concepts for our software
  • Operating and maintaining production-like development environments, as well as analyzing errors in our applications in productive environments
  • Linux/Unix Administration (Ubuntu LTS / CENTOS)
  • Administering webservers, proxies, application servers, databases, firewalls, virtualization solutions
  • VMware & Azure: Cloud setup, operation, and further development
  • Continuous evaluation of new technologies

 

Your experiences:  

  • Are proficient in English, both written and spoken and it would be great if your German is good enough to connect and communicate with your colleagues around you
  • Have experience in contributing to an automated infrastructure with automated deployment
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY Are a team player, highly dedicated, work independently and structured, and have a desire for continuous learning. You dont have to know or be perfect in all the areas listed - but you are passionate and you really want to learn!!! 
  • Possess good knowledge and experience, especially in the following areas: Linux/Unix Administration (CentOS / Ubuntu), automation with Ansible or similar tools, operating a Kubernetes environment, deployment automation with Helm, working in an agile environment (using Jira, Sharepoint)
  • Ideally have gained initial professional experience in the field of IT Operations or DevOps.
  • Ideally, also have knowledge and experience in some of the following areas: Database clusters (MySQL/MariaDB, Galera, MongoDB), application servers (Node.js, JBoss), webservers & proxies (NGINX, Apache, HA-Proxy), experience with GIT, Nexus, Maven, and SonarQube
